Taking part in two different events, both the ministers defended the exercise done by the high command and said, it is the duty of the high command to know what the ministers have done.

Speaking to reporters, Higher Education Minister Dr M C Sudhakar said, “High command has sought a report from all ministers. It has all rights to seek a report and I have sent the report related to my portfolio.  Other ministers are also sending.”

He said after receiving the report, high command will decide whether to appreciate or warn the respective ministers based on their performance. “High command has all the rights to evaluate ministers. We have not been given the portfolios just to roam around in a government vehicle. It should be our responsibility to fulfill promises,” he added.

School Education and Literacy Minister Madhu Bangarappa said he has also sent the report. “I normally update the high command with a general report about work in my department. Now I will send one more report specifying my works,” he said.
