KSRTC bus bound for KR Pet from Alenahalli lost control and hit a roadside tree.

K R Pet (Mandya dist), DHNS: More than 25 people were injured, seven of them seriously, as a KSRTC bus crashed against a roadside tree after the driver lost control over the vehicle, near Kundanahalli Gate, in KR Pet taluk, Mandya district, on Thursday.

The KSRTC bus was bound for KR Pet from Alenahalli. The bus driver lost control of the vehicle near Kundanahalli Gate and rammed against the roadside tree.

More than 25 people, including the driver and the conductor, were injured in the mishap. Around seven people have sustained serious injuries. All the injured were provided first aid at the Primary Health Centre and shifted to KR Hospital and private hospitals in Mysuru for further treatment. All are said to be out of danger.

MLA H T Manju, Pandavapura Assistant Commissioner K R Srinivas, Tahsildar S U Ashok, KSRTC Divisional Controller Nagaraju, KR Pet depot manager Ravi and others visited the hospitals and inquired about the health of the patients. KR Pet Rural Police have registered a case.

Mandya MP and Union Ministry of Industries HD Kumaraswamy has spoken district medical officer, obtained comprehensive information, and instructed that the injured be given the necessary emergency treatment for free of cost.
