He was speaking to mediapersons after handing over the charges to new DCF Sareena Sikkaligar in Kolar on Friday. Edukondalu has been transferred with a promotion as Conservator of Forests (CF) of Hassan Circle.

On the much-controversial Jigalakunte survey of encroached forest area in Srinivaspur taluk, DCF Edukondalu sad that the issue has reached a certain stage as the High Court has again fixed the survey work on January 15. “If the court decides that the encroached area is a forest land, nothing can be done to change. Those who have encroached the forest land should give up the encroached land on their own. At least, it will be a graceful move. Encroachment is a demon and we must strive to prevent it,” Edukondalu added.

On any work that he was not satisfied, Edukondalu said that there is nothing that he was not satisfied or happy with what he had done. “I always believe that if one door closes, another opens. I have been cordial with everyone,” DCF Edukondalu said. He also recalled the support and co-operation of previous deputy commissioner Akram Pasha, previous Superintendent of Police M Narayan and current SP Nikhil B. He also thanked the support of forest staff.
