This ring discovered by teacher Hanumanthappa serves as evidence of the early days of human settlement in the area.

According to historian Ajay Sharma, the dolerite stone ring was used before the invention of iron for submerging nets in water for fishing and polishing beads.

The stone found near the school has been identified through studies as belonging to the period between 1500 BCE and 800 BCE (before the Common Era), he informed.
