Mangaluru: The city police on Saturday arrested four persons in connection with pelting of stones at buses a day earlier on May 2.

According to Commissioner Anupam Agrawal, between 06:50 am and 7 am on Friday, five KSRTC buses were pelted with stones near Pumpwell, within Mangaluru East Police Station limits. Stones were thrown at the front windshields, causing damage during Dakshina Kannada bandh over the murder of Hindu activist Suhas Shetty.

Based on a complaint by driver Satish Naik, a case was registered. The arrested are Balachandra ( 31), Akshay ( 21), from Babugudda, Shabeen Padikkal (38) from Jappinamogaru, and Rakesh M (26), from Manjanady. The police have seized two scooters used in the incident.
