Three persons of a family and a contractor died in an accident at Didaguru Haralahalli village of Honnali taluk in Davangere on Wednesday.
The victims have been identified as Ramesh (38), his brother’s wife Usha (26), her son Chandru (4), all residents of Arabagatte village in Honnali taluk, and Hiremath, a contractor from SS Layout in Davangere.
According to the police, Ramesh, Usha and Chandru arrived from Arabagatte to Didaguru Haralahalli on a bike.
All three were waiting to board a bus at the bus stand, when the car driven by Hiremath, moving from Shivamogga towards Honnali, lost control after a tyre burst, and ran over the trio, killing all of them on the spot. A case has been registered at the Honnali police station in this regard.
