6 students take ill after having food at school in Karnataka's Mandya The students were provided food at the residential school and hundreds of students consumed food.

Bharathinagar (Mandya dist): Six students of Bharathi Excellence residential school at Bharathinagar, Maddur taluk, Mandya district, took ill after consuming food, on Friday. They were hospitalised and are recovering.

The students were provided food at the residential school and hundreds of students consumed food. However, some of them complained of stomach pain and vomiting. They were taken to G Madegowda hospital and provided treatment.

While two students have been shifted to Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences the rest have recovered and discharged. All of them are out of danger, according to the doctors. The exact number of students admitted to the hospital is not clear.

As a precautionary measure, the other students too were screened by the doctors and all are healthy.
