Mysuru: A 63-year-old male who had been tested positive for Covid-19 and was being treated in a hospital Mysuru, died on Friday.

According to a bulletin of the department of health and family welfare released on Friday evening, he experienced breathlessness, altered sensorium, oliguria and generalised swelling of the body.

He suffered from co-morbidities including CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) and Bronchiectasis and was hospitalised on May 15.

The department has further informed that he died due to a septic shock with MODS (Multiple Organ Dysfunction Syndrome), AKI (Acute Kidney Injury) with Oliguria, Covid pneumonia with ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome) and Hyponatremia.

It is the first death in Mysuru and third one in Karnataka reported since January this year, so far.
