Bengaluru: Eight police officers from the state who performed well in the investigation of cases and intelligence department have been awarded the Union Home Minister's Efficiency Medal for the year 2025.

The names of the officers and staff who have been awarded the medals were announced on Friday. The officers are: 

Investigation division

M K Thammaiah, Additional District Superintendent of Police, Hassan; Prakash Rathod, Assistant Commissioner of Police, KG Halli Sub-Division, Bengaluru; Gururaj Eshwar Kalyanshetty, Police Inspector, CCRB, Belagavi; Srishail K Byakod, Circle Police Inspector, Mudalagi Police Station, Belagavi District and Ramesh Chayagol, Inspector, Suddaguntepalya Station, Bengaluru.

Intelligence Division:

C V Deepak, DySP/ Assistant Director, State Intelligence, Bengaluru; Kallappa H Atnoor, PSI/Intelligence officer, State intelligence, Bengaluru and T M Madhu Kumar, Anti-Naxal force, Karkala.
