Mangaluru: BJP and Sangh Parivar leaders gathered outside Women's police station in Puttur urging police to treat a minor, who had allegedly harassed a girl student travelling in a KSRTC bus, as a juvenile under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act.

The activists also demanded the arrest of two male relatives of the minor who had encouraged him to harass the girl student.

Police sources said that a minor studying in a private school in Puttur reportedly harassed a girl student while they were travelling in a bus plying from Beltangady to Puttur.

When the minor alighted from the bus, the public caught and handed him over to police.

The minor in conflict with law reportedly told police that two relatives travelling with him in the KSRTC bus had encouraged him to harass the girl student.

ABVP pramukh Amruth warned of staging protest if police failed to take action against the minor who had harassed the girl student.
