Participating at a programme on managing medical waste organised in the city on Wednesday, she said failure in ensuring proper management would leave adverse impact on the environment and public health. The medical waste is more hazardous and damage it can cause is also immense, Manjula added.

Karnataka State Pollution Control Board chairman A S Sadashivaiah said the Board has outlined certain guidelines with regard to managing medical waste.
