Mandya City Cooperative Bank ex-president H Shankaregowda said, a case has been lodged by assistant registrar for cooperative societies in the court of deputy registrar against those involved in the irregularities related to agricultural loan waiver scheme of the Centre.

Addressing a press meet here recently, Shankaregowda said the assistant registrar has urged the court to allow attachment of properties of the accused if they fail to return Rs 62,40,129 along with an interest of 18 per cent to the government.

He urged the registrar for cooperative societies and Reserve Bank of India to lodge civil as well as criminal cases against the accused.
