Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Friday said the state government is considering action against individuals engaged in what he described as a “misinformation campaign” targeting Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala.
Addressing reporters at the KPCC office, Shivakumar, who is also the KPCC president, said the matter was not about supporting or opposing Dharmasthala, but about following due legal process.
“I have known Dharmasthala closely and have great faith in the place. I firmly believe the conspiracy will be exposed in the coming days. The home minister will present the facts of the case in the House,” he said.
Shivakumar added that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, during a legislature party meeting, had directed members to ensure no one conspired to defame or spread misinformation.
“The chief minister has instructed us to initiate action against those making false allegations. We will also work towards this,” he said.
