The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced grace marks for one question each in the physics and chemistry papers. This comes after students had raised questions about the ambiguity of the questions.

The provisional answer keys released by KEA on its official website on May 4 have allotted grace marks to students. While in physics, grace marks would be given to Question 1, in chemistry it will be given for Question 48.

Objections
Educational institutions had also raised objections to questions in the chemistry paper where two answers were correct or where none of the given answers matched the questions.
According to Dr Sridhar, MD, Deeksha, with Question 27, none of the answers matched, while with question 15, both options C and D were correct. He had also claimed that the reaction given in question 56 was incorrect.

Students who appeared for this year’s CET had also claimed that for Question 17 in version 681483, there was no correct option and Question 37 was a bit ambiguous. Following this, KEA had invited objections.
