Bengaluru: Various Ahinda organisations lead by Karnataka State Other Backward Classes Federation on Thursday said that they will not yield to the threats of Vokkaligara Sangha on leadership change in state.
Addressing a news conference, the Federation, batting in favour of Chief minister Siddaramaiah, “we will not yield to the threats of Vokkaliga mutts and organisations. The Ahinda community will not sit quietly if Siddaramaiah is removed from power.”
The Federation’s president K M Ramachandrappa said that the Congress came to power due to Ahinda votes. “If the mutts and organisations of the Vokkaliga community lobby in favour of their leaders, then we will fight for Ahinda leaders.”
The recommendations of the socio‑educational survey report proved that the Ahinda community people are the majority in the state. But, dominant communities prevented the implementation of the recommendations, he alleged.
