Belagavi: Public Works Department Minister Satish Jarkiholi said that AICC will take a decision on the appointment of the new KPCC President or retain Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on the post.
Jarkiholi told reporters here on Wednesday that the decision about replacing the KPCC President or continuing the incumbent comes under their purview.
To a query on AICC General Secretary (Organisation) K C Venugopal recently stating that one person will bear the responsibility of one post, he said he was aware of it and it's also difficult to discharge responsibilities of two posts. Soon AICC will take a decision, he said.
He said Belagavi and Chikkodi district presidents and Belagavi city president too would be replaced. Jarkiholi said that they have sent the name of one candidate and preference will be given to leaders who give more time for the party.
The government has released Rs 4,000 crore for repairs of roads damaged during monsoon. Many bridges were also damaged and more funds will be sought, he said.
Jarkiholi said, based on the discussions held during the winter session of the state legislature held at Suvarna Vidhan Soudha, more funds will be sought for the North Karnataka region.
The government will continue to give good governance and there are three more budgets wherein pro-people programmes will be implemented, he said.
On BJP making allegations of corruption against the government, he said they were resorting to allegations instead of completing the many works they have to do.
