Chikkamagaluru Superintendent of Police Annamalai will be accompanying the Mansarovar pilgrims, as their Liaison Officer.
A group of 63 pilgrims has started their journey to Mansarovar on Wednesday and the SP would accompany the pilgrims for 22 days, to guide the pilgrims. Annamalai would return to the district headquarters on August 8.
Anti-Naxal Force SP Lakshmiprasad has been handed over the additional charge of the district SP.
