The annual festival of Mrityunjaya Temple will be held in Badagarakeri village in South Kodagu from February 16.

The 'Kodimara' mast will be raised at 8 pm on February 16 to initiate the annual temple festival. Rituals such as 'Nitya puja', 'Tuchambali' and 'Utsava Murty Darshana' will be held on February 17 and 18.

The 'Bhandara' will arrive at the temple at 10 am on February 19. 'Tulabhara' will be held on February 23. 'Irubaluku' will be held at 5 am on February 24.

An 'Alankara puja' will be offered to Lord Vishnu at 8 pm on February 25. 'Gundu Hodeyuvudu', 'Avabrita Snana' and 'Vasanta Puja' will be held on February 26.

The 'Kodimara' will be brought down at 10.30 am on February 27, to conclude the festival, the temple authorities said in a press release.
