BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa on Wednesday evening will lead a delegation and rush to Hassan where party MLA Preetham Gowda's house was vandalized allegedly by JD(S) workers.

"JD(S) workers and goons picketed outside my house and tried to force themselves inside. My aged parents were manhandled and a BJP worker who tried to intervene was beaten up. Stones were pelted on the windows and furniture vandalized," Gowda told reporters.

BJP legislators jumped into the well of the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday post lunch, protesting the attack on Gowda's house. Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar adjourned the House till Thursday.

"We condemn this attack," Yeddyurappa said before rushing to Hassan with over a dozen party MLAs.

Gowda claimed that his house was targeted because of a statement attributed to him which he said he never made. "The JDS isn't able to digest the BJP's growth in Hassan. Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and minister HD Revanna want to finish me off," Gowda said.
