Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangaluru, as a part of their social commitment to the general public of Mangalore city, organised an awareness programme on oral health as a part of the silver jubilee of Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
The main purpose of this programme was to promote oral health by creating awareness on oral hygiene maintenance and preventing oral diseases.
In this regard, a poster and a table clinic competition were organised for undergraduate dental students on various aspects of dental wellbeing.
A drawing competition for kids and college students on the theme of 'Swacch Bharat' was held on Saturday. Free dental checkup with basic dental treatments will be made available to the general public for three months.
Dr Poornima Baliga, pro vice chancellor, MAHE inaugurated the programme.
