Ayurvedic industry to open in Udupi

Swadeshi Group of Ayurvedic Concerns will be introducing full fledged ayurvedic industry to the people of Udupi. The new establishment will be inaugurated on April 29 at Jatabettu Uppuru.

Speaking to media persons, Proprietor K Bharath Prabhu said the 86 year ayurvedic pharmacy has taken up the step to increase the production volume, range of products and area of market.

The ayurvedic products produced by Swadeshi Group have already markets in states like Kerala, Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharastra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Goa.

The industry comprises of automatic machineries and equipment with professionals handling all activities. The production unit is fully controlled by a systematic quality control method.

Prabhu said that local rural people will be given free ayurvedic treatment in the hospital which will be set up shortly. Free treatment will be offered one day in a week. Plans are chalked out to involve government programmes like Sasya Sanjeevini Yojane to increase the production of ayurvedic herbs.

The industry will be inaugurated by Pejawar mutt seer Sri Vishweshatheertha Swamiji, he added.
