Lokayukta DySP Mallik on Wednesday visited the mining areas and stone-crushing units at Bebi Betta in Pandavapura taluk to check whether the ban orders on mining had been implemented.
The Mandya district administration has banned mining activities in Bebi Betta and surrounding areas.
Speaking to reporters, Mallik said the inspection was to ascertain whether mining has come to a halt completely.
