Tumakuru: The district police have clamped prohibitory orders at a couple of tourist destinations in the district during the New Year revelry to ensure law and order from December 31 to January 2. The prohibitory orders will be on from December 31 from 8 am to January 2 8 am at Namada Chilume, Devarayanadurga Hills and Basadi Betta.
Since, these destinations are protected forest areas and also accident-prone zones, ban orders have been clamped for people’s safety, said SP K V Ashok.
He issued strict warning against roaming in the streets on December 31 after 12.30 am.
“Stringent action will be taken against those doing wheeling in the name of New Year revelry. Besides, prior permission is mandatory to hold parties at public places, farm houses,” he said and warned against holding
rave parties.
