At the meet organised by the All India Bank Officers' Association (AIBOA), K Vishwanatha Naik, AIBOA's general secretary, said: "There is severe shortage of manpower. As a result, we are asked to work even on Sundays with no compensation.
Besides, we are given charge sheets or kept under suspension for no good or sufficient reasons. Even minor errors are blown out of proportion.”

Another member said that the Government banks have been conducting campus recruitments only since the last two years.

“However, these youngsters don’t know anything. Also, once they are trained they leave for better opportunities,” she said.

Justice Dr S R Nayak, chairman of Karnataka State Human Rights Commission was the chief guest at the event.
