Mangaluru: A sub-inspector attached to Bantwal Rural Station allegedly ended his life by suicide on Sunday.

The deceased is Kheerappa (55). He was serving at the station as PSI (Investigation) for the past four months. He ended his life by hanging at a rented house after informing his family members. It is said that he took an extreme step due to “personal and financial issues.” 

Kheerappa had completed night duty on July 19 and did not respond to calls from the police station the next day. A staff who visited his residence found Kheerappa hanging. A case has been registered at Bantwal Town Police Station.
