Mysuru: A 46-year-old forest watcher of Maadanakada anti-poaching camp, Maada, who works on an outsource basis suffered injuries on his face and head after a bear attacked him.

He was patrolling at old transact line forest area of Hasihindalakada beat in Antharasanthe wildlife range, Nagarahole Tiger Reserve, H D Kote taluk in Mysuru district on Tuesday afternoon.

He worked as a watcher in the camp in Sunkadakatte branch, Sunkadakatte beat and is a resident of Manchegowdanahalli haadi.

He has been shifted to a private hospital in Mysuru and is said to be out of danger.
