As per the Karnataka Municipal Corporation Act the government has the right to supersede the corporation for not holding general meeting for six months continuously.
Urban Development Minister Suresh Kumar, on Wednesday, said he was disappointed after he reviewed the progress achieved by the Belgaum City Corporation in spending the special grant of Rs 100 crore released by the government for basic infrastructure facilities.
