Bengaluru: The police have questioned 106 people with prior drug trafficking or consumption cases during a special midnight operation on Saturday.

The operation, held across 13 police station limits in north Bengaluru, aimed to verify the whereabouts, employment status, and court appearances of those previously booked.

Officers also checked for pending warrants or notices and issued strict warnings  against further illegal activity. They were instructed to attend all court hearings without fail.

Two fresh cases of drug trafficking were registered during the operation. Three people were taken into custody, and 1.65 grams of ganja and 150 grams of hash oil were seized. Additionally, 11 individuals were booked for drug consumption.

Investigations are ongoing, the police said.
