Police said the suspects were apprehended when they were writing down answers on small chits for the questions in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing paper, inside a mini bus parked in the premises of Dr Ambedkar Medical College.
The suspects had obtained the question paper from N K Lakshman Murthy, 53, an attender in the college.
The bus (KA 43- 1485) belonged to KNN School of Nursing, Yelahanka.
The exam was scheduled between 2 and 5 pm on Saturday and the suspects were planning to sell the chits to students.
The incident came to light when the CCB’s Fraud and Misappropriation Squad raided the vehicle and arrested Shalu (21), Akhil (22), Haneef (23), Jijo (22), Arun (22), Binil (22), Jambel (24), Dilish (32), Shebeen Johi (22), Raghunath (22), Rohit (21) and Munianjanappa (35), the driver. Murthy, the attender, was also arrested.
Police have confiscated the question papers, answer chits, 11 mobile phones, answer guides and the vehicle.
Poisoned child dies
Meghana, a nine-month-old baby girl who was allegedly poisoned by her mother recently succumbed at a hospital in DJ Halli police limits on Sunday.
Usha (21), Meghana’s mother, poisoned her two daughters - Meghana and Gagana (three-and-half years old) - on August 4 at her house on Kanakanagar first cross road before committing suicide by consuming poison. Usha and Gagana are stated to be out of danger.
According to police, Usha and her husband Anand, an electrician at Koramangala, were staying at a rented house. Usha was upset with her mother Vijaya over a financial matter for some time now, police said.
Usha collected some rice from her house owner’s house, mixed it with poison and made Gagana to eat it forcibly. She took some sweet, mixed it with poison and made Meghana to eat it. The incident came to light when Anand returned home. With the help of neighbours, he shifted all the three to hospital, police said.
