Two construction labourers sustained minor injuries after they accidentally slipped and fell down while fixing centring boards at an under-construction building on the premises of the Legislators’  Home near the Vidhana Soudha on Tuesday morning.

The police identified the injured as Raju Singh, 24, and Sameer Gare, 25, both from  Bihar. Around 11 am, Singh and Gare were standing on a stool fixing the centring board on the fourth floor of the building. They lost balance and fell down when one of the boards gave way and collapsed on them.

Workers on the third floor heard a loud thud and rushed to the fourth floor. They alerted the engineer and shifted the injured to hospital. The police inspected the spot and found the labourers were working without any protective gears. The Vidhana Soudha police have registered a case.
