Bengaluru: A two-year-old bear rescued from the Tumakuru Forest Range died at the Bannerghatta Biological Park (BBP) late on Saturday night.
In a statement, BBP officials said the bear had been caught in a snare in Tumakuru and sustained injuries. It was brought to the BBP on February 28, but stopped responding to treatment on Saturday night.
According to the postmortem report, the bear suffered from myocardial infarction (heart attack) and liver septicemia (damage due to an infection), officials said.
