Bengaluru: A 20-year-old man was arrested for allegedly impregnating a minor girl, police said on Saturday. The arrested is Vijay Kumar, a daily wage worker at a duty-free shop at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru. The incident came to light when the girl’s parents found out recently that she was pregnant. “The girl was 17 when the alleged incident occurred,” a police officer said. “She turned 18 recently.”
The Airport police have registered a case and the suspect was remanded to judicial custody. Further probe is underway.
