Bengaluru: A 20-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances on the outskirts of the city on Monday evening.
The deceased, Rakshitha L, was a resident of Machohalli in the Madanayakanahalli police station limits. The police were alerted to her body lying next to a building in Machohalli around 7 pm.
"We suspect she may have died between 6 pm and 6.45 pm. The cause is unclear. It could be accidental — possibly a fall from the building. Investigation is ongoing,” a police source said.
Based on a complaint from her brother, the Madanayakanahalli police have registered an Unnatural Death Report (UDR). Further probe is underway.
