Bengaluru: A fatal car crash in Ramanagara district on Sunday left a 21-year-old man dead and four others injured, the police said.
Mohan, a resident of Hebbal, was travelling in a car with four of his friends. They had set out from Bengaluru and were headed to the Kabballamma Temple near Sathanur.
When the car reached Kanni Doddi village near Pandavapura around 7.45 am, the driver lost control of the vehicle, allegedly due to speeding.
The car veered off and crashed into a tree on the right-hand side of the road, the police said.
Mohan, who was seated in the front passenger seat, sustained grievous head injuries. He was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment, but succumbed to his injuries around 9.30 am.
The other four passengers are said to be out of danger and are receiving treatment for minor injuries.
According to the police, Mohan worked odd jobs in the city.
A case has been registered at the Akkuru police station and further investigations are underway.
