The police have arrested a 26-year-old man for raping a minor girl. The suspect, Pragateesh, hails from Uttar Pradesh and resides in a flat at Ramamurthynagar. He was an employee at a advertising and fashion designing institute in Indiranagar.
According to the police, he sent a friend request to the victim on Facebook and she accepted it. He had gone to her Wilson Garden house two weeks ago. He lured her to accompany him to his flat where the two had physical contact. The suspect had recorded the act, police said.
“He threatened to release the video on Youtube if she did not satisfy his sexual desires whenever he wants. The girl informed her parents, who lodged a complaint,” said a police officer.
The police arrested him and produced him before the magistrate. He has been remanded in judicial custody.
