Bengaluru: The state government on Friday transferred three senior IPS officers.

The Bengaluru East Zone, previously headed by an Additional Commissioner of Police, will now be overseen by a Joint Commissioner of Police, of the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) rank. 

B Ramesh, DIGP, Eastern Range, has been transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner of Police (Bengaluru East). The position was vacant following the transfer of Raman Gupta. 

N Sateesh Kumar, waiting for posting, has been transferred to Headquarters-1 as an IGP. 

BR Ravikanthe Gowda, IGP, Headquarters-1, has been transferred as IGP, Eastern Range, Davangere.
