A three-year-old girl was ran over by her school van in front of her house in Sulibele on Thursday evening. The deceased, Sharanya, was the daughter of Gopal, and a student at Don Bosco School, said the police.
The accident occurred around 5.30 pm at Nagarenalli. Sharanya got off the van. The driver moved the van without noticing Sharanya who was moving in front of the van. She fell down and came under the front wheel, said the police.
She was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.
The police have arrested the driver on charges of rash and negligent driving.
