Anjali Das, who was admitted to Victoria Hospital, suffered 95% burns, including severe damage to her respiratory tract due to inhalation injuries.

"She passed away on Tuesday morning," a police officer stated.

Her husband, Deeju Das, 36, remains critical, while their two-year-old daughter, though injured, is reported to be stable and under treatment.

The fire broke out on Monday morning at the couple's rented home near Chokkasandra Main Road in the T Dasarahalli area. Two neighbours sustained minor injuries from flying debris during the incident.
