Four persons were injured when a part of the earth caved in on them while they were working at a construction site at Kundalahalli Gate on Wednesday.
The injured have been identified as Basha (49), Nazeer Baig (42) and two others. The residents of the locality had filed a complaint with the HAL police against the construction firm for carrying out
blasts. The BBMP is also said to have issued them a notice asking them to stop the work.
The police said that despite warnings, construction continued and the site was excavated for nearly 50
feet, leading to the cave-in.
A shop on the footpath also collapsed into the pit.
