In Cottonpet

In Cottonpet, a group of 15 people attacked two labourers, just hours before the Chamrajpet incident. The victims — Manjunath (32) from Tiptur and his friend Khemraj Gyawali (30), a native of Nepal — were walking towards Majestic to watch a movie when they were beaten up near the Vinayaka Theatre.

They tried to escape, but slipped and fell to the ground, and the group punched and kicked them in an attempt to kill them. The Hoysala police rescued them. A senior police officer said an attempt to murder case has been registered against unidentified people, and they are verifying CCTV footage.

In Lingarajapuram

A similar incident occurred at Bagaluru Layout in Lingarajapuram, when a mob attacked Noor Ahmed Khan (40), a native of Kashmir, who was seen begging during Ramzan.
