50K kids to form Tricolour in drive against child abuse

In a symbolic fight against child abuse, over 50,000 school children will make a formation of the Indian flag on November 18 as part of a movement called 'Raksana'.

The movement aims to fight against any form of physical and emotional abuse, neglect, child trafficking, discrimination, and child labour.

Children between the ages of 12 and 15 from various schools across the city, such as Bishop Cotton, Deens Academy and Delhi Public School, will form the largest human flag with the tagline 'Stop Child Abuse'.

Announcing the movement at a press meet, Saravana Kumar, founder of VForce Media said, "This is an event to symbolise a beginning towards the safe and rightful future of children." The organisers hope to set a Guinness World Record with the flag formation.  

Kannada film actress Ragini Dwivedi, Jayanagar corporator Nagaraju, Pruthvi Banwasi, secretary Karnataka Council of Preschools, were also present at the meet.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy and Kannada film actor Shivarajkumar have also extended their support to the movement's cause of fighting against child abuse.
