Bengaluru: The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has so far received approximately 9,000 applications for water supply connections under Cauvery Phase 5, its Chairman Ramprasath Manohar V
has said.

He spoke at a press conference at the completion of a three-week door-to-door campaign called ‘Cauvery water for every household’. 

Manohar stated that the registration process had been made simple on the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar. 

“The process of registration is transparent and is being done on a priority basis,” he said, adding that the 110 villages should not face water crisis in the coming summer.
