A cultural ensemble at Bhasha Utsav

From Garudi Gombe to Chenda Singaram Melam, Kalaripayattu to Vedic Chanting, Thiruvathirakkali to Rabindra Sangeet, the University’s main auditorium came alive as hundreds of students watched in awe and appreciation. Besides Thiruvathirakkali, the event featured another Kerala dance form, the Kerala Nadanam, a pure blend of Mohiniyattom and Kathakali.


Also was an Ivorian dance by students from Ivory Coast; Rajasthani marriage songs by Nidhi and team, They yam, a pattern of hero worship performed in Kolathunaad reg ion of Kerala, and the famed Kolata by Gomathi and team. From the huge response of audience, it was clear the function had met its objective: Understanding languages and celebrating diversity.
