Goethe-Institut/ Max Mueller Bhavan and Alliance Francaise will host The Bangalore Queer Film Festival 2017, as well as showcase path-breaking films, including a package from the Berlin Film Festival 2016 and ‘Free Fall’ by Stephan Lacant.

In addition, an exhibition curated by photographer Akshay Mahajan and a curated selection from the last four years of the Gaysi zine will be on display at the Bhavan throughout the festival till February 26, 9.30 am to 10 pm.

The festival will feature 55 films from 21 countries and among these will be a retrospective, film packages, feature films, shorts and documentaries. The festival will also see performances, queer art and photography.

The films that will be screened are ‘A Boy needs a Friend’, ‘With what shall I wash it?’, ‘A Night in Tokoriki’, ‘O Pássaro da Noite’, ‘Reluctantly Queer’ and ‘The Intervention’.

It is for people 18 years and above. There is no entry fee and one can register at www.blrqueer­filmfest.com.
