Cricket and cinema make a heady brew. And it won’t be wrong to say that at some level the two are inseparable. Spotted at the recent Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad was veteran actor Ambareesh who walked in almost an hour into the match, accompanied by his security personnel.
Ambareesh confesses that he never misses a single IPL or Celebrity Cricket League matches played in the City. “I‘ve played cricket all my life and now although I can’t actively play the sport, I don’t miss out on cheering my favourite teams,” he states. The actor feels that the IPL is getting better every year. “It’s the only forum where you get to see world class players coming together. I always root for RCB. I like the speed, entertainment and hype associated with the game.
However, busy I may be, I think watching IPL live in the stadium is the perfect way to unwind, especially after a hard day’s work,” he says. He also found time to talk to his admirers and even posed for selfies without a fuss.
