Cars of pedigree such as the 1931 Ford (Model A) and the first flush of fine German engineering such as the 1937 Adler (Eagle) and the 1956 Mercedes Benz 180 ‘Ponton’ chuggged on the streets of South Bangalore in all their royal resplendence.
The rally organised by Jewellers C Krishniah Chetty & Sons in association with Advaith Motors was flagged off at The Touchstone South in Jayanagar 5th block and came to a halt at the Ashoka Pillar. The cars were also on display throughout the day at The Touchstone South building. The rally also featured other vintage regalia - 1955 Dodge (Kingsway), 1956 Jaguar (Mark VII), 1948 Humber (Super Snipe), 1950 Ford (Prefect) and 1925 Ford Grain Truck (AA).
Kannada film actress Ramya made an appearance in a Audrey. She flagged off the rally and even drove around in one like the diva that she is.
