Bengaluru: Ahead of Republic Day, the Bengaluru Central City Corporation on Sunday conducted a cleanliness drive on 15 major roads across six Assembly constituencies, Commissioner P Rajendra Cholan said.
The drive covered key stretches including Channasandra Main Road, Indiranagar 6th Main Road, 80 Feet Road, 12th Main Road, NR Road, MG Road, Mother Teresa Road, Church Road, MM Road, and the stretch between Shanthala Silk Signal and Cottonpet.
The corporation also cleaned areas around the Manekshaw Parade Ground in preparation for Republic Day celebrations. During the drive, officials removed unauthorised flexes and banners, dry branches, and illegal cable wires.
