The big day is finally here: the finale of the Metrolife Fashion Show is taking place tomorrow at Dayananda Sagar Institutions, and eight teams — each of whom proved themselves at the preliminaries — are going to battle it out for the spot of Bangalore’s most fashionable college.
The show promises to be bigger, better and more exciting than ever before. With celebrity judges, power-packed entertainment sequences and cutting-edge statements on the ramp, there’s a lot to look forward to.
The eight teams who have qualified for the finale are from MSR Medical College, Mount Carmel College, Acharya Institute of Technology, St Joseph’s College
(Autonomous), Vogue Institute of Fashion Technology, New Horizon College, Oxford College of Sciences and Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering. The eight teams will walk the ramp twice.
For the creative round, their collections will be centred around a given theme, which they are free to interpret in their own way.
They will also be walking the ramp in the latest collections from the brands that are associated with the show — John Players, American Swan, INMARK, Jewelsouk, Provogue, PN Rao, Brand Factory and Rattrap. Another highlight of the evening will be a performance by dance troupe ‘Tarantismo’. Like last year, this season of the show has been put together by Bangalore-based choreographer Mithilesh Nyathappa. The finale will be hosted by MC Amar and DJ Vidur will be taking over the console for the occasion.
