One among the many in the line for party lovers is Uber Lounge in GK’s M Block market. With a café area on the ground level and a party zone in the basement, the place has regular interiors and nothing special to highlight but it does have a cozy ambience and brings on the mood to sit, relax and enjoy some time with friends.
A usual sight are the youngsters who love to hang out in this eatery, more so to catch one of the ongoing IPL matches than sit down for a meal. However, snacking and sipping drinks top the list of favourites with visitors.
The menu has a huge variety in drinks. This includes mocktails like Uber Shake, Berry Bash and Flavour Mojito to name just a few.
While Uber Shake tastes like a regular banana shake and misses out the promised flavours of honey and strawberry crush, Berry Bash is a must try to for the taste of berry syrup mixed in right quantity of pineapple and orange juice with just a hint of ginger ale.
If you want to look beyond the drinks menu, turn to the bartender as he is adept at converting any cocktail into a non-alcoholic drink while retaining the sharpness of taste! An example of this is Pomegranate Chunks which sans gin tasted as good.
Moving on to the accompaniments or the appetizers, there is no dearth of choice in both the non-vegetarian and vegetarian sections. The veg and non-veg platters are a good option with a wide choice but are available only during the tandoor timings.
Tangra Chilli Paneer was crisp on the outside but completely bland inside and couldn’t create any excitement for the taste buds. The Falafel with Hummus came to our rescue especially when we tried it with the wonderful dips.
The dips served in The Uber Chip and Dip are a must try. Their plating makes the mouth water and their taste is simply outstanding. With breads like Grissni, Peperika Laws, Parsley Laws, Sesame and Pita Bread, the dips Hummus, Baba Ganoush, Tomato Salsa, Mohammara and Ranch are all recommended. But the best is Ranch which tastes good with not only with the pita bread but also the falafel.
On the contrary, Chicken wings and Caramalized onion with roast chicken sandwich are too sweet to appeal to a North Indian.
What comes to the rescue is the Alla Siciliana Pizza which is crisp on the edges and soft inside. The addition of pineapple and right quantity of tomato sauce make it the best dish available here!
For health freaks, the Apple Feta Walnut Salad is a good option and for those who like to indulge in cheese must order Spaghetti Creamy Mushrooms.
Sign off with a Philadelphia Cheese Cake that will ensure that you definitely come back to this place!
