Bengaluru: With the Ambedkar statue slated for inauguration at 10 am on Saturday, the Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) have placed traffic restrictions for the smooth flow of traffic around the mini Vidhana Soudha on Doddaballapur Main Road, Yelahanka.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar are expected to attend the event along with other dignitaries. Approximately 4,000-5,000 people are expected to attend the event.
To ensure the smooth movement of vehicles, the following traffic changes will be implemented until the programme concludes.
Traffic restrictions
All vehicles moving from Jalahalli, Peenya, Yeshwantpur, Vijayanagar, Kengeri and surrounding areas towards Yelahanka will be restricted.
Additionally, vehicles traveling through MS Palya, Jally Machine Cross, GKVK Back Gate, Tirumala Dhaba, Attur Junction and Mother Dairy Junction will also be restricted.
BMTC, KSRTC and all heavy vehicles moving from Doddaballapur towards the city through Yelahanka are also restricted.
Alternative routes
All vehicles moving from Yeshwantpur, Vijayanagar, Kengeri and the surrounding areas towards Yelahanka have to take a right turn at BEL Circle and head towards Hebbal Circle, Kempapura, Jakkur Cross, and reach the Yelahanka bypass.
All vehicles moving from Peenya, Jalahalli Cross, and the surrounding areas towards Yelahanka have to take a right turn at Gangamma Circle to reach BEL Circle and proceed to Yelahanka.
BMTC, KSRTC and all heavy vehicles moving from Doddaballapur towards the city centre have to take a right turn at Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan Junction and proceed via Mother Dairy Junction, MS Palya Junction, Gangamma Circle, BEL Circle and proceed towards the city.
